What type of company would use a Third Party Transportation provider?
ANSWER:
Any company that has a need to move product / cargo from point A to point B in the most efficient and cost effective way. These moves could be either within Canada to the U.S.A. or Internationally via Air, Ground or Ocean. We are most often contacted by small to mid-size businesses that do not have the need for a full time Transportation Specialist.

In doing so, we can significantly reduce your shipping costs and therefore improve your company's profitability. We believe that before we can service our clients we need to know our clients - to understand what their requirements are and then fulfill their needs.
Unlike other companies we do not provide rate sheets because the needs of each customer are individually assessed and each situation must be evaluated on the merits of the alternatives at the given time. The parameters and conditions will change from one job to the next. The objective is to eliminate any unnecessary costs or delays and treat each instance as unique.

Customers / clients of Logistics Associates include (but are not limited to) the following:
ANSWER:
Exhibit and Display Companies that design, manufacture and install trade show booths for multi-national firms such as Kodak, Hewlett Packard, Xerox, Colgate-Palmolive, Kawasaki, Yamaha, etc. The exhibit company hires Logistics Associates to transport their goods to arrive at a specific time to the venue; that is held either at a convention centre or hotel; we then 'baby sit' this move from the time it is picked up to the time it is delivered. We recognize that if this is not done as planned our client can incur unnecessary costs or worse be faced with the possibility of not being able to set up the booth for the show. Upon completion of the show we ensure that the freight is picked up before it is 'forced off the floor'. It is then moved on to its next destination. The general consensus is that designated show carriers are quite expensive though their services are quite comparable to ours.
A lot of people ask if we do the setup of the booth and the disassembling of the booth
ANSWER:
We do not do this per se. However, we can suggest companies who operate in various cities across North America for the installation and disassembly. We just arrange the transportation to and from the venue. Our Logistics Specialists are thoroughly experienced in all aspects of these specialty moves for Conferences, Trade Shows, Conventions, Theatrical Productions, etc.
Does Logistics Associates have their customs broker license?
ANSWER:
No we are not a customs broker. However, we can recommend a couple of very reliable customs brokers who we deal with on an on-going basis and we would be happy to put you in touch with one of them.
